Adventure 8 - Serpents of Scuttlecove

After defeating the koprus of Golismorga and the City of Broken Idols, the party discovered that a disturbing number of shadow pearls have already been shipped to Scuttlecove. Worse, upon returning to Farshore, they find Lavinia abducted, stolen away to the same city by her brother Vanthus, now an undead menace.
The party travels by boat to Scuttlecove and on the way are contacted by Harliss Javell. She asks them to meet her at a place called Red Foam Whaling in Scuttlecove, whereupon she'll do what she can to aid them.
When the party reaches Red Foam Whaling, they are ambushed by yuan-ti. The party discovers that Harliss has been captured by the Seventh Coil. Their search for Lavinia and Harliss takes them through the streets of the depraved city. From Tyralandi, a brothel madam, the party learns that Harliss is being kept prisoner at The Birdcage.
The party assaults the birdcage and destroys the harpy occupants. At the top of the birdcage, in an actual birdcage, the party discovers Harliss. They rescue her and return to the The Rusty Shunt, allowing the pirate captain to recover from her ordeal.
With the information that Harliss provides, the party then launches a surprise strike at a Seventh Coil safe house called the Minting House. The party defeats the yuan-ti and the crimson fleet associates. Information found within the Minting House now leads the party to the Crimson Fleet headquarters.
The party can discover the hidden pirate base and launch their assault. But the pirates are not easily defeated and several partymembers are slain. The rest of the party has to retreat so they can revive their fallen allies.
Once the dead are brought back amongst the living, the party launches a second assault. They can defeat the outer defenses and are now ready to enter the main fortress, a ship's graveyard suspended amongst giant trees.
The party enters the suspended ships and can defeat most of the inhabitants including several demons and the Crimson Fleet high captain but they fail to kill the leader of the Seventh Coil, a massive yuan-ti anathema that escapes into the marches. Yet for all their efforts, they have not yet found any sign of Vanthus or Lavinia.

Adventure 7 - City of Broken Idols

To stop the demon attacks on the island tribes, and to recover a missing missionary of Pelor, the party travels to the Isle of Dread's central plateau and faces the powerful creatures that inhabit it. The party undertakes this journey together with Jakara, the survivor of a demonic massacre who the party rescued from the troglodyte caverns, and an olman religious leader who bolsters the party's numbers with undead minions.
The party comes upon a rakasta temple but find none alive within except for a couatl, the last defender of the cache of weapons the rakastas made in preparation of a great battle with the demonic forces. The couatl hands over the weapons and even bestows a boon upon the party, granting them three feathers that can be used to summon the lawful outsider to their side in battles to come.
During their exploration of the island's interior, and after a short skirmish with toadlike demons, the party meets the brave followers of a missing missionary named Noltus Innersol. Unknown to these followers, Noltus has been killed and replaced by a shapechanging maurezhi demon who soon springs a deadly ambush on the party.
On the shores of the central lake of the plateau, the party explores an abandoned village, whose population has been exterminated to supply human sacrifices to the demonic forces of taboo temple. From here, the party invades the main base of the cult of Demogorgon on the Isle of Dread and defeats Khala the Two-Headed, an aspect of the Prince of Demons himself. Although Khala can escape, the party decides to return to Farshore.

Adventure 6 - The Lightless Depths

After learning from the former first mate of the Brine Harlot that the Crimson Fleet has been purchasing shadow pearls from troglodytes on the north shore of the Isle of Dread, the party ventures forth aboard the Brine Harlot to put an end to the shadow pearl production. They strike a deal with Emraag The Glutton, an enormous dragon turtle, and gain safe passage for ships flying the colors of Farshore.
Upon arriving in Gallivant Cove, they discover that the troglodytes are merely a front for more sinister subterranean forces, called the Lords of Dread. The party releases an olman warrior drugged and held captive by the troglodytes and escort him back aboard the Brine Harlot. Venturing below with the help of their reluctant troglodyte guide Irgzid, the party passes through the ancient Olman ward known as the Cerulean Curtain, designed to hold back the water that would release the aboleths from hibernation. From there, the party takes its ease in a town of inbred mongrelfolk called Barbas. The leader of the mongrelfolk community leads the party to a hibernating aboleth who was trapped when the Cerulean Curtain was erected. After slaying the defenseless creature, the party returns to Barbas but find the place deserted as its citizens have left for the upper tunnels or even the surface.
The party journeys further and encounters an ancient ghost speaking in behalf of the tormented spirits of the Cerulean Curtain. The ghost asks them to stop the corrupting influence of the kopru and the Lords of Dread by destroying the source of the Cerulean Curtain, releasing the aboleths from hibernation. The party pushes forth and reaches Golismorga, the ancient aboleth city.
They encounter strange buildings and abberant creatures in addition to an undead scholar who gives them information about the most important parts of the city. The party goes to investigate the ziggurat that is the center of the kopru community. Unfortunately, they find it too well guarded. Their options limited, the party sets out for the crater left by Tlaloc's Tear. Upon arrival they come under attack by an invisible guardian of the site. The party finds themselves out of their league when the guardian drives them off after killing one of their own and with two barely escaping with their lives. A few streets further the party walks into another patrol and this time, the battle goes ill when several of the party including their troglodyte guide fall under the dominating control of the kopru. In the end, the party can defeat the koprus but Irgzid loses his life. Having failed again, the party returns to the Kopru temple and uses summoned creature to penetrate the village's defences. With this small succes gained, they retreat to the ledge from where they entered Golismorga. Unfortunately they come under attack by kopru behemoths who sneak up on the party under a cloak of invisibility and covered by a naga spellcaster. The party takes a beating and loses three of their own before killing the koprus and driving off the naga.
Seeing no other option, the party retreats in the tunnel towards the surface. After travelling for a full day, they start to raise their dead and spend another day tending to their wounds and preparing to enter the city once more. When they return to the city, they discover a troglodyte is waiting for them. This troglodyte shows remarkable intelligence and very untrog-like behavior. After questioning it, the party discovers this creature is in fact an olman ghost and is currently possessing the troglodyte's body. The ghost is also in favor of destroying the curtain so that his tormented kin are freed. With this new addition, they go back to the site of the impact and are engaged by the invisibile spellcaster. After a long and confusing combat, the invisibile spellcaster is killed but at the expense of nearly all the partymembers. Luckily the half-ogre's crew has come to investigate what kept their captain for so long. Together with the remaining partymembers, they enter the city anew.
The party distracts the kopru guardians by destroying Tlaloc's Tear, flooding the city and allowing them to assault the kopru leader at the seat of his power. With the destruction of the bilewretch, the kopru production of shadow pearls is momentarily stopped. The first battle against the Lords of Dread may be won, but the origin of the shadow pearls has not yet been discovered.

Adventure 5 - Tides of Dread

The party arrives at Farshore to discover it is under attack by pirates. After aiding the colony's defense, the party is reunited with Lavinia Vanderboren. She tells them of her own troubles at sea, and of a new problem facing the colony. A pirate captured during the attack reveals that he and his mates were merely scouts. The Crimson Fleet knows of the colony's location, and in approximately two months, they will arrive in force to take what they can and burn the rest.
Before this happens, the party is called upon to do what they can to prepare Farshore for the attack. Some of the tasks are handled quickly and localy, but the most important missions take the party to the mainland of the Isle of Dread, where they need to forge alliances with the native peoples, secure access to natural resources, recover and repair the Sea Wywern and even face down the physical manifestation of an ancient Olman god. The party is rewarded by the aspect of Zotzilaha for returning the golden bat idol. They may choose a magical item from the shrine's treasury and also take with them a non-magical tooth.
When the Crimson Fleet arrives, they circumvent several of the party's defenses and succeed in reaching the village itself. During the battle, a couple of Vrocks succeed in their demonic dance and take out a lof of Fashore's defenders. The party is forced to retreat. In a final encounter, the Jade Ravens come face to face with Lavinia's brother, Vanthus, now the half-fiend captain of a Crimson Fleet ship. Upon his corpse, the party discovers a black pearl similar to the one they found split open on board of the Slippery Eel in Kraken's Cove.
Yet help comes from an unexpected corner as one of the pirate ships turns upon it's comerades. The rest of the pirates, leaderless and bereft of their most powerfull allies, takes this as a sign to leave Farshore. The remaining Crimson Fleet ships escape with the Sea Wywern. After the battle, the treacherous Crimson Fleet ship The Brine Harlot, sails into Farshore harbor under a white flag.

Adventure 4 - Here there be Monsters

The party awakes on the northern shore of the Isle of Dread, shaken from their ordeal but relatively intact. The Sea Wyvern lies holed, impaled on a reef a few hundred feet from shore, thus leaving only one option - a dangerous overland journey to Farshore. As the party takes stock of the situation, a hungry tyrannosaurus wanders out of the jungle looking for a quick meal. After dealing with the beast, their expert Urol Forol plots a route to safety for them.
The journey to Farshore takes the cast-wayas through a jungle inhabited by large predatory birds and hungry dinosaurs. After encountering an outcast aranea, the party comes to an ancient underground ruin manned by monstrous scavengers and the restless dead. As they leave, they can't shake the suspician that they are being watched.
On the other side of the mountains, the trail winds along a stretch of shore-line cliffs. A primitive band of gargoyles strikes at the party numerous times before they can leave the cliffs for the island interior.
The party then finds itself in a fog-shrouded jungle with no apparent way out. That night, the fiend who has been silently stalking them, a simian demon known as a bar-lgura, finally strikes, abducting Urol in the process. Recovering their guide leads the party to an ancient shrine to Demogorgon, forcing them to deal with the simian fiend and his minions, including a living statue in the image of Demogorgon.

Adventure 3 - The Sea Wyvern's Wake

Lavinia recruits the party to aid her in a long journey south to visit and resupply the colony of Farshore on the Isle of Dread. The party is put in charge of their own ship The Sea Wyvern. Their journey takes them from the city of Sasserine along the coast of the Amedio Jungle, and along the way they encounter several dangers and perils, including treachery from within. The ships make a quick stop at the infamous ruins of Tamoachan to do a bit of exploring and discover a golden bat idol. The ships must then run a blockade of Scarlet Brotherhood ships. Meanwhile, the party discovers an old enemy, Rowyn Kellani, who has stowed away on board and is busy making trouble.
Eventually they hit the open sea but during a storm the Sea Wyvern and the Blue Nixie become separated. The party continues the voyage and arrives at an immense sargasso sea in which dozens of ancient ships are lodged. The Sea Wyvern becomes enmeshed in the creepy seaweed as well. In order to free their ship and continue onward, the party must defeat the vine horrors of the sargasso and slay the heart of the seaweed, a plant monster known as the Mother of All.
Finally the party reaches the Isle of Dread during a tremendous storm. The Sea Wyvern, battered and sinking, crashes on the northern shore of the Island.

Adventure 2 - The Bullywug Gambit

Still seeking Vanthus for their employer, Lavinia Vanderboren, and spurred on by discoveries made in the Lotus Dragon guildhall, the party seeks out Kraken's Cove, nestled within the scarlet reaches of Blood Bay. Expecting to find a secret pirate hide-out, the party instead discovers the place in the grips of utter bedlam. Upon arrival, the party must contend with savage flesh-eating pirates. To make matters worse, this particular crew was transporting dangerous and exotic creatures in the holds of their ships, and now their deadly cargo, infected with the same savage transformations, has escaped. Their initial foray does not go well and the party is forced to return to Sasserine to heal and cure their diseased companions.
Upon their arrival in Sasserine, they try to reach Vanderboren Manor but in order to reach it, they must navigate a city in the throes of a wild celebration in honor of Kyuss' defeat one year past. Parades and revelry reign in the streets, and the party must wind their way through the wild throng to Lavinia's manor. In transit, they are targeted by a band of assassins hired by
Kellani family coin to pay the party back for their transgressions against Rowyn and the Lotus Dragons. After contending with the stilt-walking monks, the party reaches Vanderboren manor with little time to lose.
Inside, Drevoraz Kabran, first mate of the Slippery Eel, has captured Lavinia and her household (including the Jade Ravens) with the aid of bullywug mercenaries. He awaits Vanthus' return and intends to let him pay for the savage tide he unleashed aboard the Slippery Eel in Kraken's Cove. The party must stop Drevoraz, battling the frogmen to free their lovely patron before she pays for her brother's crimes with blood.
After they rescued Lavinia, the party return to Kraken's Cove, where they must navigate the caverns while enduring an onslaught of savage enemies. The party returns with The Sea Wyvern, the only salvageable ship left in Kraken's Cove.
